In 1990, Young’s Chapel Church leased a parcel of land to East Roane County Volunteer Fire Department upon which Station No. 5 was built.  In early 2015, the parcel was enlarged and donated to the fire department.

Young’s chapel has hosted fundraisers for the fire department, and fire fighters have brought the trucks to many church functions, such as Vacation Bible School and picnics.
